Spain 1×1: Gerard and Morata avoided general suspense

This was the performance of the National Team players against Switzerland

Unai Simon: The great surprise of the eleven. Luis Enrique has seen him better than De Gea and Kepa, substitute at Chelsea. He started the short game again with good judgment, showing his good footing and generating superiority. He could not do anything in the goal of Switzerland. In the second half he had a false start which was about to be the 2-0 of Switzerland, but Ramos avoided the goal by clearing on the goal line with Simón overcome. Will you play against Germany?

Sergi Roberto: Correct and willful in defense and discreet in attack in the first half. In the second half better incorporated the attack and progressed by driving and dividing.

Bouquets: Played his match 177 with Spain with which he surpassed Buffon as the European who has played the most with his team. In the goal of Switzerland he was out of place, as a left central with Reguilón. He avoided Switzerland's second goal by taking the ball off the line and then missed the shot from two penalties. It was not his best match with La Roja.

Pau Torres: Well at the beginning of the game with his good left foot, in the goal he did not close the center of Embolo. He made a providential cut avoiding the second Swiss goal in minute 63. It was the one that more good passes gave of the whole team.

Reguilón: He was in charge of bouncing set pieces with his left foot in the first half. He jumped in to press in and was late in the start of the Swiss goal. In the second part it was a dagger on the left wing and pressed to get around the scoreboard.

Busquets: It started well, but it was less and their loss of position and control of defensive transitions allowed the Swiss to grow because the National Team lost the midfield that Sergio was supposed to command. In the second half something was intoned. It was replaced in the 72nd minute by Koke. It was strange that Luis Enrique did not choose Rodri as his substitute.

Merino: Imprecise and no depth. In the second half he improved somewhat, but he was not at the level he has reached at Real Sociedad. It was replaced in 80 by Gerard Moreno.

Fabian: Did not participate in game creation just and he was not successful in the transitions offensive, its great virtue. The best thing he did was a shot from outside the area. It was substituted in minute 55 with physical problems for Morata.

Ferran Torres: He held the position as a winger should do in Luis Enrique's game model. He created danger when the ball came to him, he always looked for one against one and generated several occasions. He finished left winger.

Dani Olmo: Juice of false nine and he went down to receive to remove the centrals from their place, but nobody occupied the spaces that he created. In the second part he played ten minutes left winger and seventeen indoors, until Canales replaced him in the 72nd minute.

Oyarzabal: Le it lacked regularity and rhythm of game, even so in a center shot almost caused the failure of the goalkeeper of Switzerland. In the second half he played as a center forward until Morata came out for Fabián and became a left winger again. He was not fine with the ball. He was replaced by Adama Traoré in the 72nd minute.

Substitutions

Morata: Came out for Fabián in the 55th minute. Spain needed a center forward to set the Swiss centrals and Morata lor did well, improved the team. They gave him a penalty, the second that Ramos missed.

Koke: Entered in minute 72 for Busquets. He played as a midfielder, a position he knows how to play, but which is not usual for him. Pushed the team and he was very vertical in his game. It is a guarantee.

Channels: Replaced Dani Olmo in the 72nd minute. Tried speed up the game and get to the Swiss area fast to flip the scoreboard.

Adama Traoré: He came out for Oyarzabal in the 72nd minute. Encaró, looked for one on one and took five centers into the area, but none found a finisher. Had a shot to score and it went very high.

Gerard Moreno: Entered for Mikel Merino in minute 80 and in the 89th minute he scored the tying goal a pass from Reguilón. Like Morata, Gerard created a sense of danger from the moment he took to the field.
