Sorribes' prestigious victory against Kontaveit in Ostrava

Spanish tennis player Sara Sorribes achieved her second victory in the tournament in Ostrava (Czech Republic), scoring for the WTA, this week after beating (6-1, 6-4) the Estonian Anett Kontaveit this Wednesday, against whom she made the pass to the quarterfinals. Sorribes came out very solid and forceful again in the Czech event, as in her debut against the Polish Magda Linette, against which he only gave four games. The Castellón will face Cori Gauff or Aryna Sabalenka for a place in the semifinals.

That good march of the Spanish was noted with an intractable first set, where he got 5-0 before giving up his first game, something that did not prevent Sorribes' first set. Then Kontaveit was released and achieved the 'break', but the party from Castellón aggressively controlled the rest to go to the quarterfinals on the fast track.
