Some 5,000 fans return to a remodeled Ciutat de València

A total of 5,000 Levante season ticket holders returned to the Ciutat de València on Friday 439 days after the last League game with the public on a special day, marked by the staggered entry, with mask, safety distance and in which they enjoyed for the first time of the remodeling of the stadium in the duel against Cádiz.

Although the Ciutat de València had about 2,000 spectators last Sunday in the Primera Iberdrola match between Levante Femenino and Santa Teresa, this Friday was the first day of open doors in a First Division clash since the 8 March 2020 Levante-Granada will be played.

At 7:30 p.m. the entrances to the Levante stadium were opened for the 5,000 lucky people, who had received precise instructions to enter at an exact time and through a specific door of the stadium with the only possibility of going directly to their seat.

In the entrance turnstiles, there was no lack of disinfectant gel or water bottles, the only food allowed on the field. For the forgetful, Levante gave each supporter a free FFP2 mask, as it was the mandatory protection to witness the match live.

Distributed in the four main stands of the field, whose capacity is around 25,000 spectators, the Levantinists were able to occupy adjoining seats in the case of members of the same family nucleus, although there were many who were alone.

For the vast majority it was their first time in the new Ciutat de València, which in March 2020 started the remodeling works that were completed last fall. The spectacular deck, the new lighting and sound system and the state-of-the-art video scoreboards were photographed dozens of times by fans.

The public cheered Paco López's team by jumping onto the field to warm up and the Ciutat de València 'speaker' also welcomed his fans, who were delighted with games of light and sound until the game was saved before the start of the game. a minute of silence in memory of all the Levantinists who died in the 20-21 season.
