Solskjaer highlights Bono's great game

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United coach, said this Sunday at a press conference that Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was “fantastic” and made “incredible saves” that could be decisive in the victory of the Spanish team (2-1), finalist of the Europa League.

The Norwegian coach praised the performance of the Moroccan goalkeeper, key with several worthwhile interventions and also had good words for Sevilla: “They have a good mentality and a good level.”

Solskjaer acknowledged that Sevilla's second goal “hurt” and that is why some players like Bruno Fernandes or Harry Maguire argued on the pitch: “The ball kept going, we tried to catch it, we lost it and it was a slightly disappointing goal. I want the players to feel responsible and involved. The pique was a matter of frustration, “he said.

In addition, he described the defeat as “difficult” and “disappointing” and affirmed that Manchester United, despite it, is not destroyed because they played a “fantastic” game with many occasions in which at times they played “very well”.

“In games like this, when there are so many chances, it's difficult to get forwards with a goal of the game. Bruno, Martial, Rashford were on the field. We seemed a bit tired at the end, but we played very well and I made the decisions I made, ”he said.

“Today we have been very good. At the beginning of each part we have had many chances and we should have scored. Can't blame the boys. They have had 46 times in two games. In both games, two incredible goalkeepers. But it seems that yes, we disconnected at some point. At times, we let them play too much. We remove their feet from their necks and let them play at some point, “he said.

Finally, he explained the objectives of his team for the next dates: “To continue doing what we have done every day. The players work very hard. We need to improve the depth of the team. We have two weeks off and then it will be a very long season. We have to improve many things, “he said.

“It's going to be a weird two week vacation. It's going to be a mental challenge, we have to demand more from the players, but at the same time we want to improve. The League will start very soon, but the market will continue for a long time. We have to be very clever in the market ”, he concluded.
