Solari: “The madridistas applauded Messi at the Bernabéu”

Santiago Solari has gone through the microphones of 'El Larguero' by Cadena SER to review his career on the bench America of Mexico and its passage through Real Madrid.

Madrid Ambassador: “I worked with the foundation in representation work. It is an honor representing Madrid. Our best representative is Emilio Butragueño and it is a really complicated function. It is a function forever.”

Hurt when they fired you from Madrid: “The only feeling I have from my time at Madrid is gratitude.”

Provisional: “The coach's job is that: make decisions that are relevant. Coaches are easy fuses to change.”

Saying no to Madrid is impossible: “It depends on each one. I don't need to be in Madrid to feel part of it. When you're away you support with the same feeling.”

Zidane: “Zidane along with Di Stefano are legends of our club and transcend generations. I love Zizou.”

Decisions he had made: “My authority lasted until the day I stopped being the coach.”

Same template: “They are asking me about the ancient history of humanity. I support Madrid and there are questions that are merely sporting. In that balance, decisions are being made at all times. Now we are in the hands of a fantastic coach.”

Sergio Ramos: “It is a great opportunity to raise the Spanish name in French football. The players have to find motivation.”

Unique without renewal: “Each player pursues what he wants.”

Inequality against State clubs: “Soccer is the love of the game and also a business.”

Fidalgo in Mexico: “It is a wonderful country. I was lucky enough to live here and I played in Atlante. All countries are navel players with their football. I am proud of Fidalgo. I knew what he could give. It is not easy to come here. It is a different football.”

Messi: “He gave Spanish football many years exclusively and even the Madridistas have applauded him at the Bernabéu. He leaves a gap. The players have their cycles and have to find their place. Messi cannot allow himself to turn off.”

Atlético de Madrid: “Since Cholo took over, the club has grown. They have been patient and today they have a squad that can't say which is the best. Cholo is going to have to put five or six forwards.”

Coach Simeone: “He was my coach in San Lorenzo. It was very intense.”

Griezmann's welcome: “If he surrenders and scores, people will open their arms to him again. He's doing a back flip.”

Galactics: “The sum of players does not make a football team. The best player I have ever played with has been Ronaldo.”

Best coach in the world: “It's Scaloni, for sure. I admire Tata and I enjoyed it when I was in Tenerife. Now he runs Mexico with great success.”

Return: “I'm happy. Madrid is my home and I'm coming back all the time”

America: “We have been working since January 1. We have broken some records in a special country like this and learning new things in a great club.”

Similar to Madrid: “What is unique about Madrid is that it is global. America does not have that global level. Mexico is a giant. A very popular country.”

Happy: “Very happy with a team that is ready and that is more than 100 years old.”

Transfers: “None of those that the fans expect. We are on our way to winning the Champions League in another unknown football for the Spanish in general.”

Mexican press: “There are many soccer programs and they live it with passion. America monopolizes almost everything. It is the fun part.”

Shaking: “It was 7.3 and here the floor moved. We had to stop because it was moving too much. It felt good.”
