The Spanish men's handball team will meet Slovenia on Friday in the European semi-finals of Norway, Sweden and Austria, after the Slovenian defeat (33-30) against Norway to advance to the appointment with Spain as second in Group II.
The 'Hispanics', who already had the ticket to 'semis' insured, took first place in Group I this Friday with a draw (22-22) against Croatia. Shortly after, Jordi Ribera met his rival for a place in the final.
Slovenia succumbed to a Norway that squeezed after the break but with emotion until the end. With a 29-23 to 10 minutes left, the Norwegian team looked like the game was solved, but the next set left Slovenia to one goal.
Tangen, from the best of Norway with Gulliksen (7 goals), gave his team peace of mind, as well as a Slovenian exclusion. In this way, Norway will be the rival of Croatia while Spain will meet Slovenia on Friday at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm at 20:30, Spanish peninsular time.
