MADRID, 7 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Spanish skaters Danny León and Alain Kortabitarte failed to qualify for the final of the park event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Wednesday, after finishing 20th and 19th in the qualifying round, respectively.
The first to compete, Kortabitarte, could only finish second to last in his round, with a best score of 75.46, achieved in his last attempt, after suffering two falls in the first two exercises. However, that score already kept him away from the final, a round to which the man from Móstoles was aspiring.
But it was not the day for the 29-year-old skater from Madrid, who finished ninth and was close to fighting for the medals. But this time he was not close. Three falls in his three attempts penalised him significantly, with a meagre 56.25 as his best score, although it was impossible to get close to the top 8.
