Six albiazules forged at the Real Madrid academy

Alavés has a nice bouquet from former players formed in the Madrid academy:

Pacheco: Undisputed holder with Pablo Machín. He has played all the official matches so far. He was at the Factory and has a good relationship with Iker Casillas. Sensational reflexes under sticks and very forceful in his outings. He played for Madrid from 2011 to 2015 and belonged to C, Castilla and the first team.

Luis Rioja: Ephemeral passage through the lower categories. He also joined Celta's grassroots football before playing for Marbella and Almería. Widely used by Machín but not an indisputable starter after the landing of Jota Peleteiro. He was at Real Madrid C in the 2013-14 season.

Edgar Mendez: He is a key player in Machín's drawing. Whenever he can have it, he places it in the center of the field fallen to the right wing. He was at La Fábrica in the 2008-09 season and played for Real Madrid C. He returns to the game against the whites after seeing one (after two yellows) in the clash against Levante. He missed last Sunday's commitment with Valencia in Mendizorroza.

Burgui: The coach seems not to have him. The most that happens to him is to enter, from time to time, in a call. He is now convalescing from testing positive for COVID-19. He arrived at the Madrid quarry in 2012, also at C. Then they signed him with Castilla. He was later loaned to Espanyol and Sporting de Gijón and in 2017 Alavés took over his rights.

Jota Peleteiro: He was also part of the Real Madrid quarry. Since his arrival, Machín has trusted him because he has discretion with the ball and feeds the forwards very well from the center of the field. He arrived at Castilla in the summer of 2012, on loan from Celta and belonged to Castilla trained by Alberto Toril. From there he went to Eibar a year later.

Joselu: He left a great taste in the mouth of Castilla, belonging to a historical generation. It is basic in this Alavés. Right now he has only one goal but last season he got eleven. He played for Castilla from 2009 to 2012, being the team's top scorer in 2011, tying with his teammate Álvaro Morata. Having some presence with the first team, he was proclaimed champion of the Copa del Rey in 2011 and the League in 2012.
