Simeone travels with 20 footballers, with three homegrown players, to Seville

Atlético travels this noon, around one o’clock, by plane, to Seville to face Julen Lopetegui’s team tonight on the 18th day of LaLiga, in a duel where they will mark the real aspirations of both, Madrid’s pursuers for the title, in the competition. A game for which Simeone has four sensitive casualties, the three in defense that he has been dragging for several games (Vrsaljko, Giménez and Sávic) plus that of Griezmann, injured in the derby and who will not play again until 2022.

El Cholo gave the squad list this morning. A list without surprises. With the presence of 20 footballers, 17 from the first team and three homegrown players (Ibra, Carlos Martín and Javi Serrano). Also that of Trippier who, as in the game against Real Madrid, is already part of the group and travels to Nervión although it remains to be seen if it is to play, since his injury, a grade III sprain in the shoulder that was done in Mestalla, has allowed him to train for weeks with the group but not playing, to avoid high impact blows.
