The Argentinian Diego Simeone, technician of the
Atlético de Madrid
, is one of the seven foreigners who explain, in his own words, why one day they decided to settle in Spain, as part of the second installment of the campaign “Spain for sure”, Which aims to reinforce the image of the country abroad.
The campaign, presented this Thursday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, is based on the testimonies of foreigners who have decided to settle and develop their professional careers in Spain and explain in first person what this country offers those who want to work, study, invest and enjoy its quality of life.
It is about seven representatives from as many fields of activity that we wanted to highlight: the field, culture, sports, the business sector and the world of scientific advances.
“We want to transmit positive energy, the drive to build something in which we believe”, a “open, tolerant, diverse and supportive country, and that we should be proud to claim”, González Laya stressed.
For this reason, he has asked everyone to make “an effort to viralize the message of a Spain confident and determined in the world ”to strengthen its reputation in the world.
The minister recalled that the first installment of the campaign featured the testimonies of Spaniards recognized throughout the world as the tennis player Rafa
Nadal or the president of Banco Santander, Ana Patricia Botín.
The new installment is made up of seven videos of as many personalities.
Thus, the Costa Rican Rebecca Grynspan, general secretary of the Secretary

Iberoamerican –Based in Madrid-, reflects the positioning of Spain in the field of international relations; Danish winemaker and businessman Peter Sisseck, recalls the excellence of gastronomy and the tenacity of the business fabric.
Also the Cuban singer Lucrecia, the Argentine soccer coach Diego Simeone or the lebanese musician Ara Malikian, have opted to live in Spain and develop their professional careers in Spain.
Other participants in the campaign have been Italian physicists Caterina
Biscari, a world leader in particle acceleration, and the president of SEAT, the British Wayne griffiths.
In addition to the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the campaign will have for its dissemination RTVE, AENA, ADIF and Iberia to guarantee its presence on television, radio, airports, trains and airplanes, with special attention to international connectivity points.
