MADRID, 25 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The American point guard Shannon Evans will leave Valencia Basket after half a season, the Taronja club reported this Sunday, which has decided to resort to the clause to terminate his contract.
“Valencia Basket has executed the existing clause in the contract of the North American point guard with a Guinean passport Shannon Evans to terminate the commitment that the club had signed with this player for the 2023-24 season, so Evans is cut off from the Taronja entity”, announced the Valencian entity.
Coming from Real Betis Basketball, Evans ended up at La Fonteta on January 18, 2023, although he was unable to enjoy the regularity that he did enjoy with the Andalusian team. He played 31 games with the orange shirt between the Endesa League, the Euroleague and the Copa del Rey, with an average per game of 6.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists for a PIR of 5.9.
“The club wants to thank the professionalism, dedication and work carried out by Evans during the time he has defended the Valencia Basket shirt, and wishes him the best in his future, both professionally and personally”, concluded Valencia Basket.
