The Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank circuit will end its 2022 edition this Saturday at Plaza de la Alameda de Hércules, in Seville, with 244 registered players, in a total of 61 teams, according to a statement from the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB).
Thus, Seville will put the finishing touch to an edition that started on May 31 in Melilla and that since then has also passed through Madrid, Malaga, Palma, Pamplona, A Coruña, Santander, Barcelona, Alcalá de Henares, Zaragoza and Granada .
This Saturday will be the Plaza de la Alameda de Hércules in Seville will host the last day. An event that will start at 9:30 am and will last until the afternoon, with the award ceremony for the winners. The great protagonists will be the 244 players from all categories, who have signed up for a total of 61 teams.
As usual at all the stops on the circuit, the competition will be combined with contests, on a day that will be attended by the FEB Ambassador Marta Fernández. In addition, the Deputy Mayor and Delegate for Ecological Transition and Sports of Seville, José Luis David Guevara; the commercial director of CaixaBank in Seville, Ignacio Blasco; and the delegate of the Andalusian Basketball Federation in Seville, Aníbal Méndez.
As in all the stops, multiple tracks will be deployed, among which the CaixaBank Track will stand out, where the men’s finals of each category and various shooting and skill contests will be played, and the Women’s Universe Track, which will host the women’s finals.
The event has the support of the Andalusian Government, the Seville City Council and the collaboration of the Andalusian Basketball Federation, as well as the participation of a team of volunteers attached to the FEB-CaixaBank Volunteer Program.
The FEB launched the Plaza 3×3 program in 2012, from its first edition by CaixaBank. Now, the circuit has already exceeded 101 stops, 45,000 participants and 225,000 visitors. All this in a total of 42 cities throughout Spain.
