Sevilla wants to tie the ‘Champions’ to a Villarreal headdress

MADRID, 7 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Sevilla wants to leave its classification for the next Champions League tied with a victory this Sunday at the Estadio de la Cerámica (4:15 p.m.) against Villarreal, who are looking to lick their wounds after their European elimination, all in a thirty-fifth matchday in the one in which Getafe hopes to make a definitive leap in the derby against Rayo Vallecano to move away from the relegation zone (2:00 p.m.) and in which RCD Espanyol and Osasuna meet without great urgency (6:30 p.m.).

Unai Emery’s men thrilled the Castellón fans last Tuesday by leveling the ‘Champions’ semifinal tie against the ‘red’ team, but the reaction of Jürgen Klopp’s men, who had already won the first leg at Anfield (2-0 ), woke them up from the dream of Paris (2-3).

Now, the team will receive the love and gratitude of its public again at La Cerámica, where it needs to forget the league defeat against Deportivo Alavés (2-1) to stay in the last of the places -seventh- for continental competition. With 52 points, the ‘Yellow Submarine’ has one lead over Athletic Club and is four behind Real Sociedad, right now in the Europa League.

Opposite, Sevilla (64) do not want to miss the opportunity to establish themselves in third position in LaLiga Santander and to mathematically seal their ticket to the ‘Champions’, which happens to win this Sunday and that Real Betis (58) -to which he has the particular won- fall on Saturday against FC Barcelona.

Gerard Moreno will be absent for the duel for Emery’s men, who predictably will not be able to have two crucial men like Arnaut Danjuma and Yeremy Pino. The Nervionenses, for their part, will be without the injured Karim Rekik, Fernando Reges, Suso Fernández and Anthony Martial.

At the Coliseum, Getafe longs for a victory against the virtually saved Rayo that will allow them to distance themselves from the burning zone, which is currently five units below their 36. Led by Quique Sánchez Flores, the azulón team has reacted and has managed to leave the danger posts.

After his victory against Celta (0-2) and his draw against Betis (0-0), he seeks to add for the third consecutive date against the Vallecanos (41), who if they win or tie will be in the First Division for another year. The important away wins against Espanyol (0-1) and Barça (0-1), together with the draw against Real Sociedad (1-1), have put the objective of the course on track.

Stefan Mitrovic, due to the accumulation of cards, and the injured Jaime Mata and Jonathan Silva will not be able to help the locals, and Martín Merquelanz and Esteban Saveljich will not be in the Madrid derby either.

Finally, Espanyol (39), despite their last three consecutive defeats -against Atlético (2-1), Rayo (0-1) and Real Madrid (4-1)-, also have in their power to get closer to the Salvation, something that can be achieved at the RCDE Stadium against an Osasuna that already has guaranteed permanence.

The Navarrese (45), with the position in the Conference League seven units away, are focused on being as high as possible in the table, and to do so they hope to forget the setbacks of the last two dates and score points for the third time in a row away from home.
