Sevilla still hasn’t won with Diego Alonso and Kaba finishes off Almería

Rakitic saves a point against Cádiz (2-2) and Las Palmas wins at the Power Horse Stadium (1-2)

Getafe draws without goals, and without shooting on goal, during their visit to Mallorca

MADRID, 28 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Sevilla FC tied (2-2) this Saturday on their visit to Cádiz CF, with a great goal from Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, in a match corresponding to matchday 11 of LaLiga EA Sports, where UD Las Palmas also won the discount to UD Almería (1-2) and Getafe CF drew goalless away against RCD Mallorca.

At the Power Horse Stadium, the Gran Canaria team opened the scoring in the 23rd minute thanks to Munir El Haddadi. After escaping from a couple of rivals on the right wing, Marvin Park crossed into the small area and his teammate went ahead of César Montes to make it 0-1, with his left foot and foreshortened.

Halfway through the second half, Largie Ramazani equalized the contest with a right foot that came in after bouncing off the post, having beaten Álex Suárez in the race with a long pass. However, Almería was left without a prize when the game was dying, following a center from Julián Araujo that Houboulang Mendes did not control well.

The visiting striker Sory Kaba, getting up quickly from the grass in that action, hit a powerful shot into the back of the net. That result put Las Palmas with 14 points, in the middle of the table, and left the Almería team still at the bottom, with only three points in their locker.

Mallorca did not advance much either, without firepower against an opponent who did not shoot on goal throughout the match. The vermilion team did try on the goal defended by David Soria, but neither Abdón Prats nor Vedat Muriqi found a way to score. This tie placed Getafe with 12 points and the Balearic team with nine.

GREAT GOAL SALVADOR BY RAKITIC

Finally, on the pitch of the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, the local fans got early joy with Chris Ramos’ 1-0. A lost ball in the midfield by Dodi Lukébakio led to Roger Martí assisting Cádiz’s ’16’, who coldly beat the rival goalkeeper.

In the 28th minute, Darwin Machís extended Cádiz’s advantage after another poor ball release from Seville. Sergio Ramos had a bad pass down low and the locals mounted the attack, where Roger Martí opened to the left side; Machís, in his entry, executed a shot that entered at mid-height and exasperated a Sevilla team that later saw a goal by Sergio Ramos himself annulled, due to an offside by Lucas Ocampos in a corner.

Ocampos redeemed himself in the 37th minute, making it 2-1, with a magnificent header from Juanlu Sánchez’s center from the right wing. Upon returning from the locker room, Sevilla’s face improved, especially with the beautiful 2-2 scored by Rakitic. A volley from the Croatian took flight and the ball went over the local goalkeeper, Conan Ledesma, until it lodged in the net.

Despite this harvest in the ‘Tacita de Plata’, Sevillismo still cannot celebrate a victory with Uruguayan coach Diego Alonso at the head of the bench. This tie left the Seville club with 10 points in the temperate zone of the First Division; Cádiz accumulates an identical amount of points, and also looks askance towards relegation.
