Sevilla today says goodbye to Éver Banega, a player who arrived with many doubts among the fans due to his troubled past at Valencia and his episodes of indiscipline and who has been an example of professionalism at the Andalusian club.
With his tremendous quality, the Argentinean leaves a mark on the Sevilla fans, who have seen him win three Europa League with the Nervionense jersey, in 2015 against Dnipro in Warsaw, in 2016 against Liverpool in Basel and in 2020 against Inter in Suburb.
The club will allow the player to say goodbye to the fans in an emotional act that will serve as a press conference and in which, in addition to the president and Monchi, the current coach, Julen Lopetegui.
Banega, who announced this summer that he would not renew his contract to go to Saudi Al Shabab for the next three seasons, has played 155 games for Sevilla in two stages, as he had an unprofitable adventure at Inter in between. In 2017 he returned to Sevilla and left at the age of 32 and having played 155 official matches, with 18 goals and 22 assists.
