Sevilla plays its best game and beats a weak Almería

MADRID, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Tuesday, Sevilla added their second victory in LaLiga EA Sports 2023-2024, very simple and supported by their best game of the season so far, with which they dismantled and thrashed (5-1) at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán a weak Almería that could barely put up any resistance after a poor first half, in the match that opened the seventh day of the championship.

The Seville team continues to try to achieve the necessary consistency to get closer to the top positions and showed that they seem to be going in the right direction, at least in their local role, to give José Luis Mendilibar some peace of mind, especially in view of visiting the FC Barcelona at the weekend.

Quite the opposite happens to the Almería team, where the figure of Vicente Moreno can begin to be questioned after adding one more day without winning, which leaves him as bottom and as the only one yet who has not been able to enjoy a victory in the domestic campaign.

And all because of a start where they were not able to hold down a Sevilla team, which rotated quite a bit with respect to the goalless draw at El Sadar, which gave them extra energy with which they overwhelmed an Almería team that after eight minutes had already They lost 2-0, with two goals in just one minute. First, Youssef En-Nesyri headed into the net a rebound from the crossbar from another header from Loic Badé, and later, before the visitors conceded the blow, Dodi Lukébakio shot with quality and power in his shot to place the second in the Luis Maximiano’s squad.

The European League champion did not let up, while the Almería team was not able to react. The chances were all local, but the almost definitive 3-0 did not come until the final stretch of the first half, with a tight shot by Suso from outside the area.

Almería tried to react after the break, but once again proved their innocence and conceded Sevilla’s fourth goal at the beginning of the second half. A lateral foul on the edge of the area ended in a transition by Mendilibar, with Adrià Pedrosa finding Erik Lamela to end the clash.

From there, Sevilla, with the changes and the score, began to relax and Moreno’s men were able to reach the rival area more comfortably, scoring the goal of honor from eleven meters (Luis Suárez) after an unnecessary penalty by Jesús Navas to Largie Ramazani. In any case, Kike Salas, in added time, closed the ‘little hand’, although there was time to touch the set.
