MADRID, Jan. 21 (SportsFinding) –
Sevilla certified its presence in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey at the expense of a Levant that gave war until the first part, while Mallorca fell eliminated in his visit to Zaragoza (3-1) and the Osasuna Athletic Club needed the extension to solve his tie against Recreativo de Huelva (2-3).
In Sánchez-Pizjuán, the Lopetegui team did not want to play with fire and eliminated Levante without hesitation. The Nervión ahead of the quarter of an hour with a goal from Fernando, who controlled, amassed and defined perfectly before the goal of Aitor Fernández, one of the best goalkeepers of this season. The goal woke up the combined granota.
Óscar Duarte with a superb header, assisted by Rubén Rochina, put the boards in the Andalusian capital, but the domain returned to Seville again. Lopetegui opted for a more direct game, but it was not until the second half when his team managed to get ahead and sentence the Levantine team.
Lucas Ocampos scored 2-1 with a distant shot and Óliver Torres, assisted by De Jong, achieved the final 3-1 with a pitch from the heart of the area that killed Paco López's team. In this way, Sevilla takes the first duel between 'First' of the round of round of 16.
For its part, in La Romareda, the elimination of a Mallorca that had no response to the Aragonese gale of the second part was forged. Álex Blanco, Javier Puado and Miguel Linares scored for Zaragoza – between the 48th and 75th minute – and leaving the vermilion team without options, which paid dearly for the effort made in the League against Valencia.
Aleix Febas closed the game with a good goal that made up the score. The 3-1 closed a tie where the pupils of Víctor Fernández showed that the category does not matter in these meetings “without net” and became the third First Division team that says goodbye to the Cup after the Alavés and Getafe.
THE 'CHIMY' ÁVILA RESCUES OSASUNA
For his part, Osasuna needed to entrust himself to 'Chimy' Ávila to prevent the elimination of his own. The Argentine forward was substitute and entered the field in the 65th minute with two other starters: Nacho Vidal and Darko Brasanac. The picture was bleak for the Navarrese, who lost 2-0 when there were 15 minutes left for 90.
Morcillo made the first and Roncaglia – in his own goal – achieved the second, both in the initial act and with the collaboration of the young goalkeeper of Osasuna. Juan Pérez, already dated the first team, did not have his day and gave away the second goal of the 'Dean' with a defective clearance. However, that income of two goals did not serve the Huelva.
Brasanac cut distances in 76 with an unstoppable parabolic header for the local goal and Avila managed 2-2 after getting rid of an opponent with a possible foul. The Rosario displaced a player from Recre, but the referee – in the absence of VAR – considered that it had been valid. The draw took the game to extra time and there appeared Íñigo Pérez to resolve the contest at 111 minutes.
