Sevilla, on the back of Ocampos

October 30 is a key date for Ocampos. That day, before Osasuna, the Argentine saw the door again and scared away all the evils and ghosts that haunted him, as exemplified in his celebration. And from that day until last Sunday, Ocampos has assumed responsibility for Sevilla’s offensive football in the face of the plague of casualties that affects the Lopetegui squad.

In less than half minutes, Ocampos already has the same assists as last year, the last one achieved precisely before the Getafe this Sunday, and he’s just one goal away from equaling his 20/21 record. Before scoring Osasuna, Ocampos’ scoring and assists count was at zero. Now, it reflects seven goals and four goals.

Ocampos has returned to occupying the right wing and his improvement has a lot to do with it. His understanding with his compatriot Montiel is as good as the one he had with Jesús Navas and the numbers are there, to the joy of a Seville that does not have enough gunpowder in attack.
