David Raya, Brentford goalkeeper, will be off the pitch for “four or five months” with a knee injury.
The Barcelona goalkeeper was injured in last Sunday’s game against Leicester, which ended with Brentford’s defeat by 1-2, on his left knee. Raya was injured in a blow with Ayoze Pérez in the last minutes and, despite being injured, he held on until the end of the match.

However, on Tuesday Brentford’s doctor, Neil Greig, announced the severity of Raya’s injury.
“David has a posterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee. This injury requires a long recovery period. Fortunately, it does not require surgery,” Greig said.
“We anticipate that the recovery period will be between four and five months, which will allow David to be at his maximum level before the end of the season,” added Greig.
