The tifosi finally return to the Serie A stadiums. The Italian government, as reported by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', will allow the public to attend events “of national relevance” as of May 1, such as the top soccer championship. There will be limitations, obviously. In the open structures a maximum of 1000 people will have access, and this will only be possible in the regions in the “yellow zone”, the second on the scale of measures against the spread of the covid (the others are white, orange and red): this implies that there will be games with the public and others still behind closed doors.
A positive development also for the Rome Masters, which will take place from 9 to 16 May and will be able to attend 1000 spectators both in the central field and in the Nicola Pietrangeli stadium. The news comes after UEFA made official the presence of spectators (25% of the capacity) at the Olympic stadium for Eurocup matches. Andrea Costa, Undersecretary of Health, had already advanced that before the big event more signals could arrive, “in the last days of Serie A or in the Italian Cup final.”
