MADRID, 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cádiz CF coach, Sergio González, stressed this Tuesday that Atlético de Madrid “is doing things very well” during the second round of LaLiga Santander, defining it as “a roller” and also as “a steamroller”, in the the day before the people from Cádiz face the mattress team on matchday 33 of the championship.
“We cannot let any matchday go by, they are all important. It is matchday 33 of the League against a very strong opponent, who is doing things very well, who is a roller, a steamroller”, Sergio highlighted about his next rival league player, who is third in the table and who thrashed Valladolid (2-5) the previous day.
Despite this, the Cádiz coach has confessed that he will face his duel against Atlético “with great joy”. “The other day we had an important ‘match ball’, a match that was momentous and we are still decompressing from the sensations, from how tight it was, from the tension, from the adrenaline. We are still releasing the tension that was in that match, but at the same time we are already waiting for a new day in the League”, he clarified about the Cadista victory against Valencia (2-1).
Sergio also stressed that Atlético “at home have played many games at a high level and have won victories, being very forceful”. “He is in very good shape, but we are going to go with all of the law, to try to compete, to try to hurt them, to try to accentuate weaknesses,” he added at a press conference.
“It is true that it is a team that has very few weaknesses, a team that when it finds itself on top in good momentum is even more powerful. But we are going to go with the idea of having a great game, competing and continuing to feed ourselves for the final stretch that we have left. The other day we took a very good step towards the goal of salvation, but there is still a long way to go. So, we cannot get lost at any time”, warned the Cadista coach.
“We expect an impressive Atlético de Madrid. A very reliable team in the defensive field, very sacrificed at the level of swing, to cover, at the level of very intense duels, of the teams that run the most in LaLiga, the best team in the second round …”, Sergio has listed.
“He has shown a very high level, with many records up front, dribbles, one-on-one, they appear into space, passes inside, passes outside, very wide wingers, winger centers, they filter inside, footballers of a very high individual level and that they are in great shape”, insisted the coach of the club from Cádiz.
“In the end, we will have to play an uncomfortable game for them. The main thing to play against a big team is to try to make them feel as little comfortable as possible,” Sergio reiterated after having praised the Argentine coach Diego Pablo Simeone for his successful work on the bench mattress for the last decade.
