Sergio García: “I would return to Espanyol for free”

In an interview with ‘La Grada tv’, the former player of the Espanyol Sergio Garcia He assured that if it were up to him, he would now return to the parakeet club staff and would do so without charging.

“In my second stage I had good games and others not so much, but mentally and physically I could have continued playing in this team. I have continued training as a professional that I have been these years. Not tomorrow, but with a few group workouts, which is what I'm missing, I could be there for 20 and 90 minutes. If the club called me now, would I go? It would even come for free. How can I not go back to the club that I want to help him get back to Primera? I would be delighted ”, he assured.

Sergio explained that “I would have continued playing and it would have been very good; Why didn't I continue? Because the club did not want him to continue at Espanyol, they believed that others could do better. I would have liked to retire here but I did not think that this was the moment of withdrawal ”.

And finally he commented on the importance of having veteran people in the team. “It seems silly but it is not; having young people and veteran people knowing how the situations are can help a dressing room in moments like those that were experienced last year ”.
