BARCELONA, 28 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The new interim coach of FC Barcelona after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman, the hitherto Barça B coach Sergi Barjuan, is already exercising his new functions after presenting himself to the squad, accompanied by the president, Joan Laporta, and directing his first training session before his debut. against Alavés in LaLiga Santander.
Sergi Barjuan conducted his first training session in charge of the first team on Thursday afternoon, in a session that began at 5:00 p.m. at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, after previously presenting himself to his players.
Member of Johan Cruyff’s ‘Dream Team’ and one of the most prolific players in ‘culer’ history, Barjuan will take the reins of the first team until the arrival of a definitive coach. For now, he will debut at the Camp Nou against Alavés with the intention of ending the bad run of results.
Accompanied by Joan Laporta, as well as the sports vice president, Rafa Yuste, Sergi greeted his new players, some of whom he knows from Barça B, chatted with them and they went to the pitch to start preparing the next match.
However, it is an interim period that will come to an end as soon as the club, in this case Laporta together with the sports field, chooses the new coach to take the reins after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman and the ‘bridge’ between the two that will be Sergi Barjuan.
