Sensi agrees to go on loan to promoted Monza

Monza, whose owner is Silvio Berlusconi and with Adriano Galliani as sporting director, continues to strengthen after achieving promotion to Serie A for the first time in its 110-year history.

In the absence of the official announcement, the Monza has closed its third incorporation today. This is Stefano Sensi, a 26-year-old Italian midfielder who has agreed to go again on loan from Inter. If he has been in the ranks of Sampdoria since January, he will now try to relaunch his career with a whole season on loan in a team whose main objective will be to stay in Serie A.

Weakened by injuries

Sensi, called to be one of the key pieces of Inter and the Italian national team, has seen his progress slow down in the last two seasons due to injuries, which have reduced his performance and prevented him from playing continuously.

Despite muscle setbacks, Sensi made 18 league appearances in the 2020-21 season and helped Inter win their first scudetto since 2010.

Does not fit into Inzaghi’s plans

But with the arrival of Simone Inzaghi to replace Altonio Conte, Sensi was loaned out to Sampdoria for the second half of last season and is now not in the coach’s plans either, which is why he has agreed to go on loan again.

Sensi is Monza’s third reinforcement after already announcing the signings of central defender Andrea Ranocchia, who at 34 years old arrives with a release letter after finishing his contract with Inter himself, and goalkeeper Cragno, on loan from relegated Cagliari.
