Senegalese center-back Kalidou Koulibaly is already a new Chelsea footballer, after reaching an agreement with the London club for the next four seasons, the English team announced in a statement this Saturday.
“Kalidou Koulibaly is the second player to join Chelsea this summer! The defender arrives from Napoli and has signed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge,” the team confirmed.
Thus, Koulibaly will significantly strengthen Chelsea’s defensive area, diminished after the departures of Antonio Rudiger, to Real Madrid, and Andreas Christensen, to FC Barcelona.
The London club highlighted its reading of the game in the note. “He is a goal threat, and also an expert in possession,” he added, before emphasizing that he has played in defense with three and two center backs in his eight seasons at Napoli.
The Senegalese began his career at French club Metz in 2010, and two years later he signed for Genk, winning the League title in his first year.
