MADRID, 21 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Senegalese center Maodo Nguirane, 28 years old and 2.10 meters tall, will complete the inside game of Casademont Zaragoza for the next 2022-2023 season, as reported by the club this Saturday.
Nguirane arrives from Rueil in the French NM 1 League. His first team was Baloncesto Torrejón, before arriving at Clínicas Rincón, a subsidiary of Unicaja de Málaga. In 2014 he was part of the Malaga first team for all purposes, playing in the Endesa League and the Euroleague.
After his stay in Andalusia, he began his career in the LEB Oro, playing for Basket Navarra, and the following year for TAU Castelló in the 2016-2017 season. Last season he was part of the French Rueil, with averages of 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds.
With Maodo we complete the interior rotation, he is a physically strong pivot, with good size and who knows the competition, since he was trained in Spain and has worked in other clubs and with good coaches”.
“He knows the league and we expect him to complement the centers we have, to give us a point of physical toughness on a day-to-day basis and in games. He comes with the idea, after spending seasons away, of returning to the league and do a job of defense, rebounding, and give us a point of hardness within the team’s rotation”, explained Toni Muedra, the sports director of Casademont Zaragoza.
