“Selling 25% of TV rights does not mortgage the future”

Economic Vice President of FC Barcelona, Eduard Romeu, took the floor at the ordinary meeting with the Senat of the Barça club to explain to the most veteran members some details of the famous economic levers that they intend to activate. On the sale of TV rights, he said Romeo about selling 25%, which “is a correct figure under a prudent criterion to give consistency to the next years. When you are weak, everyone wants to take advantage of you and people know that Barça it needs money. What we want with the proposal before the Assembly is to buy time, put BLM in competition and choose the best travel companion.

Romeo He recalled that these will be the exact petitions that will be submitted to the Assembly:

BLM: Authorization for the acquisition by one or more investors of a minority stake in the company’s share capital (49.9%).

TV Rights: Authorization for the assignment to one or more investors of up to 25% of the income for the exploitation of the television rights corresponding to the competition organized by the National Professional Football League and/or the obtaining of financing on the basis of the aforementioned television rights.
