The Al-ahli from Jeddah, from Saudi Arabia, is one of the clubs that is interested in the signing of the Algerian central Real Betis Aissa Mandi, who ends his contract on June 30 and has not yet reached an agreement to renew, despite the fact that he has been negotiating with the current sports director for many months, Antonio Cordon, and his predecessors in that plot in the verdiblanco club.
Al-Ahli already thought about Mandi for the last winter market, but the Algerian international decided to continue at Real Betis at least until the end of the season and keeps the options open to renew his contract, the oldest of those in force in the first squad, since his dates from July 2016, when he arrived from the hand of Miguel Torrecilla to Betis that Gistavo Poyet trained in exchange for 2.8 million euros, from the Stade de Reims.
Mandi has played 161 games for Real Betis these four and a half seasons (an average of 36 per season), making him one of the most profitable signings in recent times. The Argenino, current champion of the Áftica Cup with his national team, is a fast center-back, who goes very well at the crossroads and has good aerial play and ball handling, although forcefulness is not his strong suit.
Faisal Said, one of the spokesmen for Al-Ahli from Arab Jeddah, has confirmed to the Algerian media DZ Foot that among his plans for next summer is the signing of Aissa Mandi, provided that he does not end up renewing for Real Betis, where he would win less money but would participate in higher level competitions.
