Sara Sorribes continues in Guadalajara and Rebeka Masarova says goodbye

MADRID, 23 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish tennis player Sara Sorribes passed the first round of the Guadalajara (Mexico) tournament on Tuesday, scoring for the WTA and played on a hard court, while her compatriot Rebeka Masarova was eliminated.

The woman from Castellón, third seeded in the event and who had not played for a month after falling at the Australian Open, got rid of the American Katie Volynets, 155 in the world, 6-4, 6-1 and will now face the Polish Magdalena Frech.

For its part, the young Masarova, 22 years old and classified to the main draw from the previous one, could not beat the French Chloe Paquet, who prevailed by a double 7-5 after a match where she wasted a 5-0 lead in the first set and a 4-2 in the second.
