Santi Bueno, Michel's warrior who remains to debut

Girona cannot be stumbling over and over again on the same stone this season. Michel is aware that his team has a lot of room for improvement (in this league start he adds a win, a draw and three losses) and the good news for the technician is that he already has Santi Bueno at his disposal. Given the defensive problems that the Girona team is having, it would not be surprising that the Uruguayan makes his debut this Saturday against Valladolid. The center-back is the only outfield player with a first-team record who has not yet enjoyed minutes this season.

Santi Bueno is eager to reappear. The Uruguayan central He was summoned in the last match against Malaga, but he did not have minutes. Michel did not consider it appropriate and especially considering that it was time to come back. Of course, this Saturday against Valladolid he could already give him his first minutes and it is that he is called to be a key piece in the center of the rear. It already was the previous season with Francisco and his quality and placement can give a lot of security back. Yes indeed, for Santi Bueno to play, the coach will have to relieve Juanpe or Bernardo Espinosa. The two, together with goalkeeper Juan Carlos, are the only players in the Girona squad who have played every minute of the league to date. They are, for the moment, Michel's untouchables.

The week began in Girona full of self-criticism for the three consecutive defeats that are chained, but we have to turn the page. The team exercises in La Vinya with an eye on winning Valladolid and this is not the time for tricks, rodeos or anything other than working to add three at a time. The rojiblancos will live their fourth match at home this season on Saturday and hope to continue being reliable against Valladolid. At home, the balance against the Pucelanos is five victories, two draws and one defeat (this was in the Cup in 1975). The last time that both teams met in Montilivi was in Primera, in the premiere of the 2018-19 season, and the duel ended 0-0.
