The Spanish karate fighter Sandra Sánchez, Olympic kata champion and already retired from competition, will be the ambassador of the 50th anniversary of the OGKK Spain (Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-Do Kyokai Spain), a karate school dedicated to spreading Goju Traditional ryu from Okinawa (Japan) and which will celebrate its half century of presence in the country this Wednesday in Murcia.
The woman from Talavera, along with her coach and partner, Jesús del Moral, will attend the event that will be held, starting at 6:00 p.m., at the Dojo del Maestro Onaga, Honbu Dojo, where the Onaga Karate Club, a pioneering Japanese master of this style in Spain.
In addition, coinciding with the anniversary, the 18th European Seminar of this style will be held, in which 15 masters from the original city of this ancient style, Okinawa, will meet. More than 500 participants from 24 countries around the world will meet at this event. Seminars will be held during the week until Sunday, the day on which a special seminar will be held at the Palacio de los Deportes in Murcia, which will be attended by the mayor of the city, José Ballesta.
