Sánchez Jover gets into a painting from which Carballés falls

The main draw of the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open Challenger 80, which takes place at the Puente Romano Tennis Club in Marbella, started this Monday, while the preliminary phase ended. The other surprise of the day was given by the Swiss Henri Laaksonen (134th), who lowered the first favorite, the Spanish Roberto Carballés, in a tough match that was resolved in three sets: 1-6, 6-3 and 6-3. Disappointment for the Tenerife-born player after a first set that he dominated with great solvency. But Lumbar discomfort for which he was treated prevented him from continuing to compete to the best of his ability.

For the rest, victories for Pedro Sousa, Ernests Gulbis, who beat Evgeny Donskoy (eighth seed) Alessandro Giannessi, Martin Klizan and Roberto Marcora.
