Samuel Carmona falls to ‘Rey’ Martínez for the flyweight title

The Spanish boxer Samuel Carmona fell this morning against the Mexican Julio César ‘Rey’ Martínez in the fight for the World Boxing Council (WBC) flyweight title, an evening that was held at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale (United States). United) and in which the American boxer retained the belt after taking the duel by majority decision.

The 26-year-old canary and Olympian in Rio de Janeiro, where he was a quarterfinalist, endured the twelve rounds against the defending champion, who finally took the fight to points after the judges showed scores of 114-114, 117- 111 and 116-112.

In this way, Carmona loses his undefeated in his ninth fight after winning the previous eight, half of them by ‘k.o’.
