Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli lamented his team’s mistakes in the 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, while recalling that when they are committed against this type of team they “pay dearly”.
“I think the team got off to a bad start in the first ten minutes, Madrid took advantage of that and scored a goal. forced, we would be talking about a different result. Sampaoli, who suffered his first defeat since landing on the Andalusian bench, analyzed his team’s play and insisted on the good performance shown by his team at the Santiago Bernabéu. In fact, Sevilla seemed to be enjoying their best moment when Madrid solved the match with two goals in two minutes.
“I don’t think we were overpowered, the first 15 minutes we were overpowered and after that we exchanged it. In the second half we scored a good goal and we could have scored one more. We didn’t suffer anything until they scored the second. They beat us at one point in which they had not made merit to do it but it is Madrid and it has that capacity”, he sentenced.
