The Spaniards Quim Salarich, Albert Ortega, Juan del Campo and Aingeru Garay will compete, from February 6 to 19, in the Alpine Ski International Federation (FIS) World Championships in the French resort of Courchevel-Méribel, reports the Royal Federation Spanish Winter Sports (RFEDI).
The oldest, the 29-year-old skier from Rossignol, Quim Salarich, will reach the World Cup at a high level after qualifying among the top fifteen in Schladming and among the sixteenth in Kitzbuehel, Austria, in slalom.
For his part, the 28-year-old Atomic team rider, Juan del Campo (NKEF-EURO), will also be at the French station backed by his qualification for the second round, for the first time in the entire campaign, in Schladming. Thanks to this result, the RFEDI team once again secured a third place in the slalom specialty in the World Cup.
The last specialist to participate in this slalom event is Aingeru Garay, 24, who made his debut this year in the World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany).
Albert Ortega, 24, will compete in super-giant, giant and alpine combined. At the Lake Placid Universiade (United States), Ortega won gold in the combined and was fifth in super giant.
