MADRID, 11 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) has acknowledged that the team is beginning to “improve a lot” after a “tougher” start to the course than they expected, and hopes that they can maintain the level to “fight again for podiums and victories”.
“My feelings are a bit mixed because the start of the season has been a bit tougher than what the whole team expected, but it is true that we have begun to improve a lot and better results are coming every time,” he said in statements to Estrella Galicia 0.0, a brand of which he is an ambassador.
In this sense, the Spaniard, who now occupies fifth place overall in the Drivers’ Championship with 83 points, insisted on the importance of maintaining the level. “Now we have to make sure that we continue to improve and that we can fight for podiums and wins again,” he stressed.
The ‘Scuderia’ pilot made the statements during a meeting of Estrella Galicia 0.0 at the Spanish restaurant ‘Sabor’, run by the Spanish chef Nieves Barragán and located in the exclusive London neighborhood of Mayfair.
The ‘Sabor’ restaurant opened its doors in 2018 and offers a menu of Spanish food based on Andalusian tapas, Castilla steakhouses and Galician seafood restaurants, having received the Michelin Star in 2021 and ranking 13th in the ‘ Top 100’ of the ‘National Restaurant Awards’ of Great Britain.
Nieves Barragán prepared a menu for the occasion with two of Carlos Sainz’s favorite dishes: a hamburger and an omelette. “We are very happy to have Carlos in ‘Sabor’, so we had thought of a menu with a beef burger with cheese from ‘Quesos y Besos’, an impressive Andalusian cheese that in 2021 was chosen as the best cheese in the world, in addition of pickled gherkins and red mojo sauce. Our honeyed tortilla is made with caramelized onion and potatoes gently fried with the best olive oil. I hope it is the best tortilla you have ever tasted,” said the Spanish chef.
