Sad endings for the Alcorcón

Alcorcón's motto is “Until the last minute of the last game” but this season the tables are not being favorable to those of Anquela in the final stages. And it is that on several occasions in the last minutes of the game of the matches the outcomes are being bitter for the potters. Alcorcón has left up to nine points from minute 80 this season.

Against Ponferradina on matchday nine, a goal from Kaxe in 88 gave Bierzo all three points and Alcorcón threw down a draw. Against Oviedo it has happened in both games. In the first round, Alcorcón won by the minimum until in 91 Sangalli made the tie at one. This past Tuesday it was Leschuk in 84 who equaled Nwakali's goal. In Sabadell it was Juan Ibiza in 93 who put the final tables on the scoreboard after Alcorcón went ahead with a goal from Hugo Fraile.

In the first game of 2021 an own goal by David Fernández in 86 made him lose the point that seemed tied and gave Rayo Vallecano a 2-1 victory. Before the end of January, Alcorcón repeated the story in Santo Domingo and against Málaga. In that occasion a counter in the last play of the match ended with a goal from Chavarría in 92 and a 0-1 victory for the Andalusians.

With those nine points, AD Alcorcón would be in the middle of the table with 41 and not with 32 as it is currently.

If we expand the time range a little more and watch the games from minute 75, the situation is more bloody. The potters conceded in the 75th goal of the defeat against Espanyol on matchday five. In the seven against Sporting, in minute 79, Alcorcón conceded the final 1-2 for the Asturians scored by Aitor García. In Tenerife, in a match controlled by those of Anquela and with 0-0 on the scoreboard, between minute 77 and 92 Alcorcón conceded three goals. The final electronic was 3-1 for Tenerife.

Many points lost in the last minutes for an Alcorcón that is in the caboose of the classification fighting not to be demoted.
