Sabadell and their groundhog day in minute 84

Sabadell fell this Sunday against Espanyol and repeated their particular story at this start of the season. The rookie has shown competitiveness in Vallecas and against two teams (Mallorca and Espanyol) against which two categories separated them a little over two months ago.

At the same time, runs out of gas after minute 84, at that moment Nico Melamed scored (one of the harlequin targets this preseason) at that very moment, he did Dani Rodríguez for Mallorca and in 88’Alejandro Catena for Rayo, in the debut. Groundhog day and the eternal end as KO.

Three defeats by one goal that leave Sabadell and Girona last in line and the only ones without scoring, although the harlequins with one game less and the people of Girona with two less at the end of matchday 4.

The Sabadell went from less to more. The first time his goalkeeper Ian Mackay and the defenders, with special mention to immeasurable Grego Sierra, prevented Espanyol from going to rest with an advantage, even clear, but the goals are not deserved, they are made.

The 0-0 allowed ‘David’ to endure his unequal fight against ‘Goliath'In the first 45 minutes.

Antonio Hidalgo had a plan B and soon executed it. In just ten minutes he had already made three changes and certainly the entry of Aleix Coch, Adri Cuevas and Víctor García it was noticed. Those were moments when, at last, the color of the T-shirt of Diego López, who avoided the 1-0 in a crossed kick from Victor and a header from Nestor on a corner kick. Previously Guruzeta did him a favor, in the only mistake of the veteran goalkeeper.

The Sabadell looked in his sauce, tutendo Espanyol after 30 years and a half without playing an official game. Hidalgo moved a couple of pieces more in attack, while Vicente Moreno drew out all his arsenal. In that exchange of blows, the defense was the best Espanyol attack. A recovery of the Calero plant (one of the bastions of not having fit in four days) converted into assistance to Nico Melamed for 0-1 and again, the local wailing wall for the usual 84 minute goal.

The screams of silence, an empty stands, were those of the players lamenting the 0 of 9 at the end of the Harlequin Tourmalet.
