Ruben Dias, low in the City for six weeks

MADRID, 4 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City’s Portuguese defender Ruben Dias will be out for between 4 and 6 weeks due to a thigh injury he suffered last Tuesday in the FA Cup, where he did not make the second half.

City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed this Friday the hamstring injury to one of his key pieces in defence, from that match against Peterborough United that saw them through to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

“One of our best players, Kevin De Bruyne, was out for eight or nine months. I’m not going to cry. We have two centre-backs, but it is what it is. People said we were lucky with COVID, but we only have 15, 16 players (available) in recent months,” Pep said at the press conference prior to the derby with United.
