Ronaldinho is in police custody for allegedly entering Paraguay with a false passport

Ronaldinho Gacho and his brother Roberto will remain in police custody in a luxurious hotel on the outskirts of Asuncin until Thursday they are led to testify to La Fiscala, to decide whether to proceed to the arrest of both for allegedly entering Paraguay with false passports.

The National Police also arrested a Brazilian citizen who was with the two brothers at the Hotel Resort Yacht and Golf Club Paraguayo, in the city of Lambar, according to the Fiscala.

The source added that in the room where the two brothers are staying two Paraguayan passports were seized on behalf of Ronaldo de Assis Moreira and Roberto de Assis Moreira.

The detainee is the Brazilian Wilmondes Sousa, 45, who has also entered with adulterated Paraguayan documents.

The National Police issued an arrest warrant to Ronaldinho after receiving information from the immigration authorities that will have entered the international airport of Asuncin with adulterated documents.

After them there was the registration by tax agents and the National Police of the hotel room.

According to the Fiscala, the two brothers declared that they went to Asuncin invited by Nelson Belotti, owner of the casino Il Palazzo.

They also mentioned that the former soccer player had planned to present on Thursday in Asuncin the free medical assistance program “Mobile health of girls and boys”, a mobile mobile care for children in Paraguay.

Dozens of people went to receive Ronaldinho at Asuncin airport, after normal customs controls.

Some Paraguayan media pointed out that the former Brazilian international had some kind of problem in Brazil that prevented him from leaving his country, so he would have resorted to using false documents.
