Rome conquers Europe with the Conference
The Italian team wins its first continental title with 1-0 from Zaniolo to Feyenoord
MADRID, 25 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A goal from Zaniolo half an hour into the final in Tirana gave Roma their first continental title, beating Feyenoord (1-0) to lift the first edition of the Conference League.
José Mourinho’s team, who enlarges a unique record with all the UEFA titles, hit the first time they had with that ball that, behind the defense, Zaniolo controlled with his chest and subtly sent into the net .
The Italian team began at the mercy of the rival’s possession, losing Mkhitaryan due to injury. With a good embarrassment in the capital of Albania, Roma stretched little by little and only needed one to see the door at the Arena Kombetare.
