The Friedkin family noted that you want to invest in a different project compared to the one you chose the previous property, chaired by the American James Pallotta.

“The Society confirms the will to reinforce the dialogue with the Administration of Rome, the region and all the competent institutions to create a green stadium, sustainable and integrated with the territory, constructively analyzing all the options, including Tor di Valle, “the note reads.

The Roman Town Hall approved in 2017 a project for the construction of a 52,500-seat stadium that would arise in the area of ​​Tor di Valle, in the southeast of Rome, about twenty minutes away both from the city center and from Fiumicino airport.

In June 2018, the Italian authorities They arrested nine people who would participate in the construction of the new Roma stadium with the accusation of corruption.

The operation was directed by the Rome Prosecutor's Office and carried out by the Carabineros, who arrested nine people early in the morning, among them some investors and the president of the energy company ACEA, Luca Lanzalone.

In total, six people were arrested, three others have been placed under house arrest and 27 subjects are investigated.
