Rocío Gálvez and Claudia Zornoza raise awareness among young people to avoid hateful behavior on social networks

MADRID, 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid footballers Rocío Gálvez and Claudia Zornoza went to the CD Nuevo Boadilla facilities this Thursday to meet with young players from the Madrid team to raise awareness about the need to avoid hateful behavior on social networks.

The two world champions have been chosen by ‘Grefusa’ to lead its awareness campaign against hatred and violence in different areas of society and thus bring closer the importance of enjoying football, having a good time and avoiding insults and the exacerbated criticism that can be seen on many occasions on social networks.

To this end, the ‘snacks’ brand, under the name ‘Haties: the taste of hate’, has exclusively developed a real product with a disgusting taste as a possible way to reproduce the bad taste in the mouth and the horrible sensation that people experience. who for no reason suffer hatred from their peers or even strangers.

Gálvez and Zornoza met with players from the CD Nuevo Boadilla cadet teams to convey to them both their experience in this aspect and the best way so that they do not fall into this type of behavior and also try not to pay too much attention to them through a series of messages and good practices to achieve a constructive environment with values in football.

In addition, the Real Madrid center and midfielder met with the footballers and gave them to try these ‘snacks’ at random, among which was the aforementioned ‘Haties’ to check the unpleasant reaction and be able to ‘compare’ it with what happens when one uses insult for criticism.

70 percent of children who practice sports have suffered some type of violence, from the mildest to the most severe, including threats, according to the CASES (Child Abuse in Sport European Statistics) Report on the prevalence and characteristics of interpersonal violence against children. In Spain, it is precisely within sport, where the prevalence of this type of aggression is between 70 and 80 percent.

Likewise, the latest study by ‘Women in Football’, two out of every three footballers or women who participate in the sports industry have suffered discrimination based on sex; with the negative point that only 12 percent of the cases are reported. There is only a complaint in 12% of the cases.

“We see that hate is present in many areas of our society and that it does not make any sense, no one likes how it tastes and this ‘snack’ is proof of that. We want to show that hate is useless and is much better enjoy, but also raise awareness that it can affect any of us,” warns Agustín Gregori, CEO of
‘Grefusa’.
