The tennis player from Castellón Roberto Bautista, current number 21 in the world, will once again wear the emblem of his football club, Villarreal CF, thanks to the ‘Endavant Esports’ project, which includes a total of 31 clubs, 18 athletes and three competitions from the province of Castellón.
“For me it is a pride to compete with the emblem of my football club wherever I play. What Villarreal CF is achieving is admirable, so I am very happy to be part of the family
‘grogueta’. I hope that both the club and I achieve many successes in his Centenary year,” said Bautista, winner of eleven ATP titles, in statements provided by his press department.
The ‘Endavant Esports’ initiative, which began in 2004 with the support of Olympic beach volleyball medalist Pablo Herrera, currently has a reach of nearly 7,000 athletes of all ages and categories in the province of Castellón, who benefit from of this sports patronage project.
The spirit of the project is to contribute to the promotion and growth of sport in Castellón, as part of the social commitment that Villarreal acquires with its environment, trying to return to society and the province the support it receives.
The project consists of economic and sports support, since the club, in addition to providing economic benefits to the members of the project, also makes available its medical services, the use of the facilities and all the means at its disposal to promote the development of athletes linked to the program.
