Robert Moreno is already the coach of Granada

Granada already has a coach: Robert Moreno. The Catalan coach has signed for the Nasrid club for two seasons after a long process of negotiations that had the Granadans without a coach since the departure of Diego Martínez, who decided not to renew his contract. The new coach is already in Granada since Thursday and will join the work to make the squad together with the new sports director, Pep Boada, from now on. In fact, Moreno was already with Patricia Rodríguez, CEO, and the sports director himself these days to start the work.

Only a few fringes separated Robert Moreno from Granada. The former national coach wanted to return to Spain and sees in the rojiblanco team a great showcase to once again prove his worth after qualifying Spain for the European Championship but not finish curdling in his adventure in France. The coach is looking for a project that will make him grow and sees a great opportunity in the Granada team.

Robert Moreno has not trained for a year after leaving Monaco in July 2020, the coach wanted a project that would seduce him. He started training when he was only 14 years old, but it wasn't until 2001 that he started in modest teams. In 2008 he joined Luis Enrique at Barcelona B and accompanied him in Roma, Celta and Barcelona before being second to Unzue on the Asturian's sabbatical, also at Celta. In 2018 he made the leap to the national team as second to Luis Enrique. However, he had to leave the national team due to personal problems and it was Robert Moreno who took the reins of the team. He was in command for ten games before he left with a scuffle with Luis Enrique, who accused him of being unfair, in an exchange of public statements. In 2019 he took the Monaco bench in his first experience in an elite club, but things did not go very well. It was thirteen games with five wins, five losses and three draws. Since then I was without a team.
