MADRID, 25 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio has participated this morning in the defeat of the Cleveland Cavaliers at the home of the Atlanta Hawks (136-119), in an NBA day in which the power forward Usman Garuba and his Houston Rockets also fell at home against Golden State Warriors (116-101).
At the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, the ‘Cavs’, fourth in the Eastern Conference (38-25), conceded their third consecutive defeat in a duel in which they always marched in tow and only managed to make up the score somewhat in the last quarter . Trae Young’s 34 points finished off a franchise already without Nate McMillan as coach.
The point guard from El Masnou, still in the phase of adapting to the competition due to his serious injury, spent 12 minutes on the track, in which he scored two points -1 of 4 shots from the field-, grabbed a rebound, offered two assists and recovered two balls.
For his part, Garuba had practically the same playing time, 13 minutes, in the game in which his Rockets, sunk in the last place in the Western Conference (13-46), lost to the Warriors, who had the invaluable help from a Klay Thompson who signed 12 triples to finish the match with 42 points.
Meanwhile, the Castilian-La Mancha power forward had two points, four rebounds, two assists and a block in his time on the field.
