Ribéry will play in La Salernitana

Although before the end of the season Franck Ribéry's priority was to continue at Fiorentina, the arrival of Vincenzo Italiano to the viola bench ended up changing the plans of the French footballer. During the recently concluded summer transfer market, Ribéry was forced to look for a new team for next season. With the transfer window closed, already as a free agent, The 38-year-old footballer has found his destiny, and although it will not be in Florence, he will not have to move from Serie A. The Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Ribéry and Salernitana, a team promoted this season to the first division of Calcio, have already reached an agreement so that, in the absence of a videoconference call, the Frenchman will play in Salerno.

Likewise, the own Angelo Fabiani, the club's sports director, has confirmed that Ribéry is one step away from wearing the Salernitana shirt. “He was among the released players of a certain level, they proposed it to us and our general manager, General Marchetti, was immediately enthusiastic. There is an agreement in principle and we are only waiting for it to be ratified “Fabiani said in statements to Telecolore. Gianluca Di Marzio it also explains on its website that the club and the player “have agreed to meet in the next few hours.” Through said conference call, “the former Fiorentina player will let the Granada club know that he is willing to face this new professional adventure.”

Once you give your word and confirm the decision, Ribéry will personally sign a one-year contract in Salerno with the option to extend it for another season.. From Italy they point out that the salary of the veteran French attacker, between the fixed part and bonuses, will exceed € 1.5M per season. In this way, after two seasons wearing the viola shirt of Fiorentina –He played 51 games, in which he scored five goals and distributed nine assists–, Franck Ribéry will continue to be linked to Italian football. La Salernitana, who returned to Serie A for the first time since 1999, started the season with two defeats in the first two games of the league championship.
