RFEF competitions: the key dates of the next season

The Federation has announced during the morning of this Monday the calendars and some of the key dates of the 2021-2022 football season in Spain. The RFEF has an important range of competitions: from the First and Second Men's Division, to competitions such as the Super Cup or the King's Cup, without forgetting the new structure of non-professional football that opens this season: First RFEF, Second RFEF and Third RFEF.

Last Friday the Delegate Commission of the RFEF approved in its Thin Commission the rules that regulate all its competitions. A decision that came after the mediation of the Superior Council between the federative entity and LaLiga due to the calendar conflict. The Higher Sports Council helped establish the start of LaLiga Santander on the weekend of August 13 to 15, that there is no League match the same weekend that the Copa del Rey final is played and that three games are allowed to be played on New Year's Eve between geographically close teams.

The draw to know the schedule for each day and their respective matches will be this Wednesday for the First and Second Division. Regarding the rest of the categories, a mandatory registration period opens for all teams from July 1 to 16.

Key dates of the season

LaLiga Santander

As the Federation and LaLiga finally agreed, after the CSD brokered, will start on the weekend of August 13-15 (The Provincial Court of Madrid has given permission to the employers to schedule games on both Monday and Friday). LaLiga SmartBank
