BARCELONA, 12 Apr. (SportsFinding) –
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Red Cross have come together to support the refugees from Ukraine through a micro-donation platform, which aims to raise funds to help the victims of the conflict.
“The RFEF joins the Red Cross in its call to promote the international actions it carries out in Ukraine and in neighboring countries, as well as to provide assistance to people of Ukrainian origin in a situation of vulnerability in Spain,” explained the Federation this Tuesday in a statement.
The Red Cross has launched a fundraising campaign to help people affected by this crisis, together with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
With its collaboration through this joint platform, the Spanish Football Federation joins the campaign, “giving it visibility” through its different channels.
The RFEF and the Red Cross have already collaborated in favor of Ukraine with a solidarity match for futsal legends, held on March 30 in Jaén, on the eve of the Spanish Cup.
