Report: Gabe Vincent takes a final choice about surgery, and a date is set for his return to the Lakers.

Gabe Vincent, a guard for the Lakers, just got back from being out for a long time, but he is going to be out to another long time. Vincent is going to have surgery and won’t be able to do anything for at least six weeks.

Vincent missed almost two months of play earlier this season because of an injury to his left knee.

He came back and played 14 minutes in the Lakers’ 16-point loss to the Chicago Bulls a week ago. In that time, he scored three points, grabbed one rebound, and passed the ball three times.

He will now miss a lot more of the season because he missed the next two games. The guard who used to play for the Miami Heat and signed a three-year, $33 million deal with the Lakers has had a difficult season.

That deal came with high hopes, but the 27-year-old hasn’t played enough to live up to them. During this season, he hasn’t been very good when he is on the court.

He has played five games and averaged 5.4 points, one block, and three assists per game. However, he has only shot 37.5% from the floor and 11.8% from three-point range.

Major players getting hurt must be very frustrating for Lakers head coach Darvin Ham or the rest of the team. On the other hand, it looks like the Lakers won’t be able to be fully fit this season.

Another important player who has been out is Jarred Vanderbilt. He recently admitted that he’s been pressing himself to play when he’s not fully healthy because he knows how far the team can go if everyone is healthy.

Ham put Vanderbilt in the starting position for the initial time this season in the last game for L.A., which was against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The team could have had its best win of the season so far with a 129-120 win after the change.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Gabe Nicholas will have arthroscopic surgery on his hurt left knee on Monday, according to a source who is familiar with Vincent’s plans. It will take Vincent six to eight weeks to fully heal before he can play again.

Vincent, 27, replaced Dennis Schroder within the backcourt following Schroder signed a free agent deal with the Toronto Raptors. He got a three-year, $33 million deal with L.A. in the offseason.

Vincent has only been able to play in five games this season because of his knee. In those 25 minutes, he has only scored 5.4 points on 37.5% shooting (11.8% from three) and 3.0 assists.

Vincent was a big reason why the Miami Heat made it through to the NBA Finals last year. He averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 37.8% shooting from three-point range during the playoffs.

He couldn’t play from October 30 to December 20 because his knee swelled up. He had the leg drained and chose platelet-rich plasma treatment on it instead of surgery to try to avoid having surgery.

Vincent played in last week’s 124–108 loss against the Chicago Bulls and had three points or three assists in 14 minutes. However, his knee swelled up again, and he was put back on the injury list.

Vincent signed a three-year, $33 million deal with the Lakers this summer as a free agent. He played 20 or more minutes off the bench in all four games the team played this season before he got a left knee swelling.

He had to rest and heal from the injury for almost seven weeks before playing again on December 20 in Chicago. However, he missed the next two games for the Lakers because the swelling in his knee came back.
